in the Eastern Free State in the town
of Vrede. Escape the city this January
and experience the beauty of the highveld and endless rolling hills.

The course follows 180km journey
on dirt roads, across bridges, through mud. You follow your route card to reach undisclosed markers where you log your time. The car who arrives at the finish with the closest average time to the marshal's time, wins the title of the Vrede Padvat 4x4 King!

Family Friendly Event
An event for the whole family to enjoy. Come and immerse yourself
in the rolling hills of the Eastern Free State, and bring your whole family
along with you. Kids are encouraged to join in on the navigation rally.
Authentic Free State Scenery
Our Vrede Padvat provides an authentic Eastern Free State experience
with South Africa's most outstanding landscapes. Rolling hills and the thrill
of muddy dirt roads offer the unique location for the Vrede Padvat.
Padvat with Purpose
All proceedings of The Vrede Padvat go directly toward supporting
the local community, including the Vrede Old Age Home.
Although The Vrede Old Age Home is government funded, it receives
no extra financial support for any extras that bring comfort and joy
to the lives of it's residence. Through this event we aim to fill the gap -
helping provide the elderly with the little things that make life a little bit better.
